Park City Jazz Festival – Jazz With Altitude 2008

Park City, Utah, located in Wasatch Mountains, 32 miles east of Salt Lake is a beautiful small town with big festivals. Best known for the 2002 Olympics and the Sundance Film Festival, there is also another festival that should take top billing and that is the Park City Jazz Festival.

Jazz artists such as Joshua Redmond, and Christian McBride, Javon Jackson with organ stalwart Les McCann, Stefron Harris, and vocal group the Rippingtons, blended with Gospel Jazz from the Blind Boys of Alabama, swing music from Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, raucous blues from the Blues Traveler, funky New Orleans blast from Papa Grows Funk. Los Hombres C blended Hatian Rada, Merengue, fusion, samba, salsa, modern jazz and funk into a soulful stew of music genres. Continue reading
